With many decades of hands-on experience, Allen Legal founder, Mark Allen understands the entrepreneurial mindset and is recognised for his ability to identify quickly what his clients need, tailor a solution to fit those needs and then implement the agreed solution efficiently.
Mark Allen
Founding Partner
Mark has provided legal services to founders and entrepreneurs - and those that invest in them - for more than 25 years. Prior to establishing Allen Legal a decade ago, Mark was a partner in two larger Sydney firms where he also acted for a number of larger brand name firms. In addition to his core legal skills, Mark has significant experience in structuring transactions and undertaking cross border transactions. Mark holds a Graduate Diploma from the AICD and has served on a number of boards including Sydney Film School and South Western Sydney Primary Health Network.

A decade ago, Allen Legal was founded on a vision and commitment to help entrepreneurs – and those that invest in them – navigate a path that they may not have trodden before.
Our current focus is on entrepreneurs who are engaged in the commercialisation of innovation and intellectual property, including those spinning out of universities, research institutes and larger corporations.
Whatever the source, we are highly skilled at providing legal support to enable our clients to identify, secure, protect and commercialise innovation and intellectual property. We do this by not only advising on the safeguarding of innovation and inventions, but also by dealing with the corporate and commercial activities that underpin successful commercialisation.

We are inspired by innovation and the rewards it can provide users and confer on the inventor/founder. Australia’s track record of successfully commercialising new technology is not good. We believe the current generation of inventors and founders deserve more. Our goal is to provide them with the right legal support to enable them to make Australia an innovation powerhouse.
